A six-episode documentary commissioned by the European Commision Delegation to Turkey and broadcasted in Skytürk TV Channel.

 

I grew up in debates about the European Union from my childhood to this day. I dreamt of days when I could walk in a world without borders. But nothing happened as fast as I expected. Governments have changed, but the debates have stayed the same. Some praised the European Union, some condemned it. The answer was unclear.

 

We wanted to find our own answers and so we made this documentary to see the differences and similarities between our lives. We traveled thousands of kilometers to see what the European Union would change in our lives. We talked to people in six different countries and we asked them about Turkey. We investigated the impact of the European Union in arts, economy, health, sports, education and law. We have been looking for the meaning of Being European in the lives of ordinary people and now we tell you what we saw.
